Why am I here?

DSC_0001_conew1Photo was taken for his primary school registration, when I was away.
Trust the Babah to get him so ‘properly groomed’! :P

Ever since Hanan was born and still in her rear-facing car seat, Imtiyaz sits in the co-pilot seat strapped on to his high-back booster, and I sit at the back - at least until Hanan is over a year old and can hold her own feeding bottle.

Yesterday, he opened up the sun visor and read the safety info on it. I don’t remember how exactly it’s being written, but it’s something like this :

Children under 12 can be killed by the airbag.

Mama, what is killed?

Killed is when something causes death.

You mean die?

Yes.

Then,

Mama!! (while reading the next line emotionally). The back seat is the safest for children. Why am I sitting in front?!

*yikes!* Mama have to take care of Hanan at the back now. But it’s safe for you coz you are strapped on to your booster seat and you are facing forward. Insyaallah you’ll be fine.

I’m not sure if he was satisfied with the answer or not, but yeah, he can read AND understand now. It’s not about trying to read or make out the sounds of a word any longer. He understands, and we have to be more prepared for the questions to come!
